Avis Ward practices and fathoms the art of marketing and community relations in the domain of Open Source.  Avis founded and ran a successful graphic designs and marketing firm in Florida for nearly a decade. Life throws curveballs and hers landed in the South Carolina Upstate. She had discovered small to mid-size businesses may have had excellent products and gave a wonderful customer experience, but lacked a strong market outreach.
